Alice Clark’s name should fall right alongside those of the best Soul singers ever recorded. However, it is likely that 10 out of 10 people you know have never heard of her. It’s a shame really because her only record, the self-titled pressing on the Mainstream label from 1972, is a certified gem! If you’ve never heard it, you’re in for a treat.
