Ninja Tune

Ninja Tune is a London-based record label started in 1993 by DJs Matt Black and Jonathan More, better known as Coldcut, with a strong leaning towards electronic, alternative hip-hop, instrumental hip-hop, nu-jazz, drum and bass, and chillout music. The label has a number of imprints including Ntone, now defunct; Big Dada, specializing in hip-hop; Counter, specializing in rock; and Ninja Tuna, Mr. Scruff’s new imprint started in 2008.

The Ninja Tune sound is exceptional to say the least and they’ve released numerous landmark albums throughout the years. The following is your jackpot introduction to their catalog. Not sure where to start on recommendations really as there are heaps of gems in the Ninja Tune crates.
