Number Puzzle Thing

Came across this fun number puzzle thing while listening to Bob Dylan’s Theme Time Radio Hour: Episode “Countdown”.
It goes as follows:
Pick any number—multiply it by two—add ten—divide by two—subtract the number you picked—the answer = 5.
