The Spirit of Atlanta – The Burning of Atlanta

In 1973, Bill Stokes set out to produce a film about the rise of Atlanta, GA after it was burned in 1864. This film was supposed to highlight the contributions made by the Atlanta underworld during the rebuilding of the city from 1864 until 1973. The Burning of Atlanta was recorded to be the soundtrack for this film. The resulting output was a ’70s Funk classic! Read more about this release here.
