Tommy McCook blowin’ superb melodies on a set produced by Jimmy Riley back in 1976. The title is a bit misleading as the instrumental tunes aren’t too heavy on the Jazz side. Rather, Ska, Funky Reggae and Skinhead Reggae persist throughout.
This version is direct from vinyl, but I’d love to give a listen to the remastered and re-released version served up recently by Pressure Sounds which features a bonus 7″ of “Beirut” from The Mercenaries. Share it if you got it.
